Hello! My name is Lara Nural and I am the founder of Vega Resume and Career Services and am happy to share a little bit about myself. 

 

• I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2020.

• While working towards my degree, I had the opportunity to gain work experience within the HR field by working as an HR Intern and as well an HR Business Partner.

• Upon graduating, I worked (pro-bono) as a Recruitment Coordinator for a few months for a nonprofit organization, assisting in the organization's recruiting and Talent Acquisition methods and strategies; was responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring new employees and volunteers to fill open positions and meet organization's workforce needs and goals.

• Additionally, in order to expand my knowledge base, I became a certified HR professional upon earning the SHRM-CP certification, which is the most comprehensive competency-based certification for HR professionals.

Upon obtaining my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at Cal Poly, SLO with the goal to become an educator to contribute to society in a meaningful way, take part in shaping our next generation, and make a difference in the lives of as many children as I can, I became an elementary teacher. I am currently working as a 5th-grade teacher here in California and love what I do. In my free time, I like to play tennis, go on hikes, and spend quality time with my family and friends. :)

 

My personal goal and passion in life are to encourage and assist each person to reach their full potential, whether they're students or adults.  And that is why, while choosing to continue my career as an educator, I started my own business, Vega Resume and Career Services, to help individuals during the job search process to take the first step to reach their dreams.

Vega’s mission is to provide a solution that can help individuals through the steps of the job-seeking process. I offer: resume writing, targeted cover letters, online profile development, and job search assistance.
